Project
"Get Regular": Gamifying English Verb Mastery for Dutch Students
Get regular, an education platform for students who have difficulty with English verb conjugation. The students can play games in the app that have to do with seeing the irregular verbs in context. With the games they save points to exchange them for the free out of jail cards/joker.
This project was for a dutch school in the Netherlands.
Current situation
Revolutionizing Irregular Verb Learning
The core motivation is to employ AR as a medium to showcase the unfiltered reality of influencers. By revealing the genuine appearance of these individuals, the project seeks to guide young people away from striving for unattainable ideals. The intention is to dismantle the illusion of perfection propagated on social media platforms, ultimately nurturing a healthier and more realistic self-perception.

Moodboards
Gathering inspiration from a curated mood board, I used a color picker to extract hues that resonate with the essence of education and creativity. Exploring the most common colors in education apps, I'll incorporate insights into the color palette to ensure a harmonious connection with industry standards.

Logo variations
My logo is a play on word because the app is about irregular verbs. I show that by using irregular verb “to get” that the app is about that (irregular verbs). The secondary logo is the G and the R of Get Regular together. With the colors I incorporated a gradient to emphasize the transition into the different irregular verbs.

"Get Regular": Gamifying English Verb Mastery for Dutch Students
At this time, the students learn the irregular verbs as rows one after the other. By continuously stomping and repeating it in their heads. For example, they repeat to build - built - built one after the other. Then they just remember it, if there is a test and they have to fill in the verbs, it goes completely wrong. As a result, the English teachers notice that the students score significantly low in exams on applying the verbs in sentences/context.
