Overview
The idea is to meet more colleagues. The initiative was conceived because people are working more from home after corona. When they come to the office, hardly anyone knows each other and people are busy with their own thing. I really liked that I could design a website for this. The website had to remain Salesforce branded. So I was especially curious to do research on Salesforce's corporate identity.
Project
Bridging Beyond Borders in a Remote World
Project meeting
Before we started the project, a meeting was scheduled. For information about the project, deadline and division of tasks. As a designer, my job was to design the website. The client showed me a page of the first "design". See below

Research
I initiated the creation of a style tile by examining various Salesforce websites, including the main website, Brand Central, and Dam Central. In this process, I focused on analyzing the usage of buttons, titles, images, colors, icons, and fonts. Salesforce's Brand Central serves as a comprehensive resource, consolidating all the elements mentioned above for reference and consistency in design.

Why it works
Credibility of spontanious colleagues lunches
96%
feel more engaged with the company while working remotely.
61%
of employees build up an internal network across departments and locations.
73%
more appreciation, cohesion, and a positive corporate culture.

Ideation
Now that I had an idea of Salesforce's tone of voice. The next step was to create wireframes. Here I had the content of the first "design" in mind. I made the wireframes in Figma and I first started with the mobile version. I designed various types of structures; one pager, slider website etc.
Wireframing
Wireframing the Salesforce Connect Experience

High fidelity prototype
Now that I understand the brand guidelines after creating the style tile. After wireframing I started with the high Fi prototype.

Feedback
I showed my design during the team meeting and to the project manager. There I received feedback and comments.
No images of people drinking beer.
It looks like she's cold.
An additional page (per city; Amsterdam, Brussels & Copenhagen)

User flow
After incorporating all of the feedback, I made a user flow to make the path of the user clear for me and my team. The user flow lays out the user’s movement through the site from entry point right through to the final interaction.

Results
Final website

What’s next?
The lunch roulette pilot was launched. There were 100 places available. The 100 spots were filled! I also signed up for it myself and went to lunch with 2 ladies.

Feedback
The effectiveness of the design solution was evident in the successful pilot launch, with all spots filled, indicating high interest and participation. The positive feedback received during the team meetings and the successful implementation of the initiative demonstrated the impact of the design in fostering connections among colleagues.
All participants were encouraged to share a selfie in our internal lunch roulette slack group. They had to share whom they had lunch with and how they rated the experience.

Lessons learned
Reflecting on the design process, a key lesson learned was the importance of aligning the design with the organizational culture. The feedback regarding the avoidance of certain imagery and the emphasis on creating a warm and inviting atmosphere highlighted the significance of cultural considerations in design.
